Motivation

When mail arrives in an organisation, that’s when the work begins: opening, viewing, sorting and distributing. Depending on the volume of mail, this can take up to several days. The costs and time involved are critical, especially if important customer, supplier or client correspondence has to wait. As the first link in the chain of business processes, this manual processing represents a bridgeable weak spot which, it has been shown, can now be automated using digital inbound document processing.

Solution

The DOXiS Inbound Center is an integratable all-in-one solution for the fully automatic processing of inbound documents. This SER solution not only processes mail, it also integrates all forms of inbound documents, including electronic data flows. The DOXiS Inbound Center is not restricted to structured documents such as invoices and forms; it can also deal with unstructured documents such as those typically found in correspondence. The intelligent software solution combines content-based, learning processes with rules-based methods, both for classification and for extraction, thereby setting the stage for optimum utilisation of the information contained in the documents. Today, this SER solution is in use in a large number of successful customer projects.
