Full-text search
A search of the archive can be made using key words or by linking search terms using Boolean operators. In full-text searches, all documents are checked to see whether they contain the search terms anywhere in the text.DOXiS uses the Verity full-text search engine for this. When deciding whether to use full-text searches, one needs to consider whether the advantages from full-text recognition outweigh the higher cost of OCR conversion for NCI documents from an organisational and financial point of view.
