DOXiS InboundMaster as a central integration toolConfectionery manufacturer Storck automates the processing of all types of incoming documents. Since the majority of all incoming invoices and other documents still arrive as paper documents or faxes at Storck’s offices (based on figures for the entire Storck Group from 2003) a solution had to be found that overcame the modal fragmentation between paper and electronic processing. EWR: Go with the flowEWR was looking for an electronic document management system (DMS) that made it possible to quickly retrieve all customer correspondence from any relevant workstation located at the company’s own offices or those of its external service provider. The service provider who processes address changes was also to be included in the project. A preliminary project on the implementation of a DMS at EWR showed that the customer home file was the best solution to pilot archiving since it would lead to noticeable success in a very short time. It soon became clear that SER Solutions had the greatest expertise among the suppliers bidding for the tender when it came to integrating a digital archive into the existing SAP applications, which was one of the most important requirements. SEW Eurodrive: A World in MotionSEW-EURODRIVE, the drive technology expert, receives several 100,000 assembly orders every year. Until 1993 these paper documents were placed in files and microfilmed after the end of the financial year. The costs associated with sorting, archiving and above all searching paper and microfilm were considerable. The company registered 270 queries and 23 hours search and transfer time per day, including external queries from national and international subsidiaries. An electronic DMS and archive were to provide day-based order entry using a minimum of personnel resources by achieving the highest possible level of automation. This was to reduce personnel costs, transaction and process costs and paper consumption and save storage space. Another aim was to increase customer and staff satisfaction. (PDF) >> |
